Propr Review: Hybrid Perps-Data Simulation Prop Firm Analysis & Rating
Simulated capital
Based on the firm's published rules, terms and public evidence, checked on 2026-11-03.
PerpsOnly score: 6.15 / 10
1. Overview
Propr is a crypto perpetual prop firm. It sells evaluation and funded accounts that are priced on Hyperliquid market data. Its March 2026 launch was paper trading only. The launch was described in a secondary press release (Cointelegraph, secondary). The rulebook's changelog dates its v1.0 publication to 25 February 2026 (Propr rules, checked 2026-11-04). The date paid challenges went live is not stated in the sources checked.
Its model is hybrid. Some trades may be copied to Hyperliquid at Propr's discretion. Its terms say the reward is calculated the same way whichever book a trade lands in (Funded Terms cl. 7.1). For the trader, the product is a simulated account with a published rulebook, an 80% split and USDC payouts on-chain.

4. Trading Rules & Drawdown
Propr uses a 1-Step or 2-Step model, with no minimum trading days and no time limit.
Drawdown Mechanics
- Daily loss limit: 3% on 1-Step and 5% on 2-Step, of the start-of-day balance. It is equity-based and resets at 00:00 UTC (Propr rules).
- Max drawdown (1-Step): Static. 6% on Classic, 5% on Pro, 3% on Turbo (Propr rules).
- Max drawdown (2-Step): 8% trailing. It trails the high-water mark until it reaches the starting balance. The sources conflict on what happens after a payout: the rules (Section 07) say the limit resets to the starting level, while Section 11 and the payout FAQ say each payout lowers the high-water mark by the payout amount. Checked 2026-11-04 (Propr rules).
- Discretionary consistency measures: The funded terms reserve "consistency measures" (cl. 8.6(g)), and Annex 2 covers anti-farming rules (Funded Terms). The rules page publishes no consistency rule.
Rules & Restrictions Checklist
| Rule | Allowed? | Conditions / Details | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Holding Over Weekends | Yes | Weekend holding is allowed under the published rules. | Propr rules |
| News Trading | Yes | Allowed under the published rules; no buffer window found. | Propr rules |
| API / Bot / Algorithmic Trading | Yes | API-first support for bots and AI agents. The homepage says there are no restrictions on API use; rate limits were not checked. The terms (cl. 8.11(c)) say identical bot strategies used by other users or uncustomized off-the-shelf bots may be flagged as coordinated trading (Propr terms). Checked 2026-11-04. | Propr homepage |
| Martingale / Grid Trading | Grid: Yes. Martingale: not stated | The rules (Section 14) list grid trading among permitted strategies. Martingale is not mentioned. The rules ban latency arbitrage, tick sniping and "non-replicable or high-risk strategies" (Section 15). Checked 2026-11-04. | Propr rules |
| Minimum / Maximum Trading Days | None | No minimum trading days and no time limit. | Propr rules |
| Consistency Rule | No published rule | Discretionary consistency measures are reserved (cl. 8.6(g)). | Funded Terms |
5. Payout Terms & Reliability
- Standard Profit Split: 80%, on all account sizes and types. No 90% upgrade was found (Propr homepage; Propr rules).
- Payout Frequency: On demand, from funded accounts only (Propr payout FAQ).
- First Payout Waiting Period: None. Payouts are on demand with "no minimum waiting period" (Section 11), but KYC is required first (Propr rules, checked 2026-11-04).
- Payout Threshold / Buffer: Minimum $20 (rules Section 11 and the payout FAQ, checked 2026-11-04). The v1.0 changelog entry says $50, and no later entry records a change. Each request is a full sweep, with no partial withdrawals, and all positions must be closed first (Propr rules).
- Payout Methods: USDC on-chain only. No fiat option (Propr payout FAQ).
- KYC: Mandatory before the first payout (Propr rules).
- Processing time, as stated by Propr: "Processed within 24 hours" in the FAQ and rules (Propr payout FAQ). The homepage says payouts "arrive in minutes" and shows a "Median Payout Time" of 11m 56s, with no measurement window (Propr homepage, checked 2026-11-04). These claims differ, and the transparency page's median-time field showed "-". We have not verified either one.
- Payout discretion: The funded terms describe payouts as "discretionary settlements for data generation" (cl. 5.3) (Funded Terms).
- Verified Payout Proof: The transparency page showed placeholder values ("-" and "Funded Traders: 0") at check time, so no payout totals could be confirmed (Propr transparency). One Trustpilot review cites a "payment system error", and Propr blamed a third-party payment provider (Trustpilot).
6. Trading Platform, Liquidity & Execution
- Exchange Integration: Propr's terminal prices trades against Hyperliquid market data. Its terms say Propr "may execute live trades on digital asset markets using its own capital" (Funded Terms). The trader does not receive direct exchange routing.
- A-book and B-book: Propr labels each trade A-book (copied to Hyperliquid, settled on-chain) or B-book (recorded internally) in the dashboard (Propr homepage).
- Order Execution & Slippage: Not assessed from public sources. We have no fill-latency or slippage data for this firm.
- Funding Rates: Not stated in the sources checked.
- Reserves: The homepage shows a "$755,000" "Public Onchain Reserve". We could not verify it, because the transparency page's "Total Reserve" field showed "-" on 2026-11-04 (Propr homepage; Propr transparency).
- Mobile & Web Interface: Not assessed from public sources.
7. Trust, Ownership & Track Record
- Corporate Entity: Propr Limited, BVI Reg. No. 2211330, Trinity Chambers, Road Town, Tortola (Propr terms).
- Regulatory status: The terms state that Propr is "not authorized or regulated by the BVI Financial Services Commission or any other financial authority" (Propr terms).
- Merchant of record: Odeonpay ALE S.R.L. ("Paysagi") (Propr terms).
- Ownership & Backing: Built by the XBorg startup studio. A press release reports a $1.5M seed round at a $17.5M fully diluted valuation, raised through a community on-chain sale (Cointelegraph, secondary, paid press release).
- Operational Track Record: Launched March 2026, paper trading only; the date paid challenges went live is not stated in the sources checked.
- Community Reputation: Trustpilot 4.4 from 67 reviews (Trustpilot). Our web searches (2026-11-03 and 2026-11-04) found no Reddit payout-denial threads and no regulator warning naming Propr Limited. Direct database checks on 2026-11-04: the FINMA warning-list page lists no Propr entry on its landing page, but its site search returned no usable results; the FCA warnings search and the CFTC site search returned HTTP 403, and an SEC search URL returned 404. So the FCA, CFTC and SEC lists were not searched directly. Treat "no warning found" as limited to web search and the FINMA landing page. One community news post reports Propr support tickets put on hold after abuse (secondary).
- Insolvency and enforcement check: No insolvency or enforcement record was found in the sources checked. The payout-discretion language and the placeholder transparency data remain open questions.
8. Pros & Cons

- Named BVI entity with a stated merchant of record (Propr terms).

Cons

- The funded terms describe payouts as "discretionary settlements" and reserve "consistency measures" (Funded Terms).
- Payout-time claims conflict (minutes on the homepage, 24 hours in the FAQ and rules).
- Not regulated by the BVI FSC, by the firm's own statement (Propr terms).
- Many traders don't pass, and the fee is lost if you fail.

9. Verdict & PerpsOnly Rating
Propr is a simulated, hybrid product with a clear 80% split and a static 1-Step drawdown. Its terms also leave the firm room to copy trades, reserve consistency measures and settle payouts at its discretion. Those terms weigh on the rating. Propr scores 6.15 / 10, in the Average tier (6.0–7.4).
