1. Overview

HyroTrader is an Exchange-Demo API evaluation provider in the crypto prop trading space. HyroTrader connects directly to the trader's personal exchange demo accounts on Bybit and BloFin via API keys, or through its in-house browser terminal powered by Bybit market data.

Following its October 2026 platform relaunch (announced October 12, 2026), HyroTrader restructured its challenge tiers, retired its legacy CLEO platform for new purchases, removed trailing drawdown in favor of static loss limits, and introduced refundable challenge deposits on 1-Step and 2-Step accounts.

The challenge fee buys an evaluation. It is not an investment or a trading deposit, and you can lose all of it. On 1-Step and 2-Step it is returned with the first payout; if you fail, it isn't refunded (HyroTrader pricing blog, checked 2026-11-04). On Zero-Step the fee is refunded only if you cancel before starting.

Following the October 2026 overhaul, HyroTrader completely eliminated trailing drawdowns across all challenge tiers, replacing them with fixed static baselines.

Critical Operational Caveats

1. THE 5% PAYOUT CAP PER REQUEST HyroTrader enforces a strict withdrawal ceiling: each payout request is capped at 5% of the starting account balance (e.g., maximum $5,000 withdrawal per request on a $100,000 account). Crucially, any profit generated above this 5% cap is cleared from the account unpaid when the payout is processed (source). Traders must withdraw frequently rather than letting profits compound.

2. Low-Cap Altcoin Restrictions: Positions on low-cap tokens (market cap under $100 million) are restricted to a total position size of less than 5% of the starting account balance, including leverage (HyroTrader Homepage).

3. Zero-Step Consistency: Zero-Step accounts require that no single trade may generate more than 50% of the overall profit target.

HyroTrader's API route sends orders to Bybit/BloFin demo matching engines, rather than an in-house simulator:

1. Bybit & BloFin Demo via API: Traders generate read/trade API keys from their personal Bybit/BloFin accounts. Orders are routed directly into the exchanges' demo matching engines, supporting native bracket orders, partial take-profits, and limit chases.
2. In-House Hyro Platform: A browser-based interface running on Bybit market data feeds for traders unable or unwilling to configure API keys.
3. Execution Latency: We have not measured fill latency or quality. HyroTrader says accounts are simulated and run on real Bybit market data (HyroTrader payout page, checked 2026-11-04).
4. Automated Trading: Algorithmic trading bots, Claude/MCP agents, and custom scripts are welcomed, provided they do not exploit latency arbitrage or use multi-account copy trading (HyroTrader Relaunch Blog).

• Payout Denial History: One anonymous online dispute cited a risk model rejection (PropScorer, secondary). TheTrustedProp lists no verified denials (TheTrustedProp).
• Regulatory Standing: Regulator search, run 2026-11-04: a web search for HyroTrader alongside FINMA, FCA, CFTC and SEC found no warning or enforcement action naming HyroTrader.
